Last day of your life

Standard

When you are faced with the question, if this was your last day on earth, what would you do?

My kids don’t need me anymore, they have their partners and their kids, I’m sure I wouldn’t be their priority if it were the last day on earth.

My husband would probably go for  a ride,

Me, I would be very sad, because I didn’t achieve what I thought I was put on this earth to achieve.  To find the person who would love me for me,  I wanted the dream, someone to be proud to have me, someone that wasn’t ashamed  to be seen with me.  Someone who just loved and adored me.

In the end……………

I would probably go to Tasmania and see my mum.  Yeah… she loves me.

Question?

Standard

Will anyone ever need me again?

“You Needed Me” by Anne Murray

I cried a tear, you wiped it dry
I was confused, you cleared my mind
I sold my soul, you bought it back for me
And held me up and gave me dignity
Somehow you needed me

You gave me strength to stand alone again
To face the world out on my own again
You put me high upon a pedestal
So high that I could almost see eternity
You needed me, you needed me

And I can’t believe it’s you I can’t believe it’s true
I needed you and you were there
And I’ll never leave, why should I leave, I’d be a fool
‘Cause I finally found someone who really cares

You held my hand when it was cold
When I was lost, you took me home
You gave me hope when I was at the end
And turned my lies back into truth again
You even called me friend

You gave me strength to stand alone again
To face the world out on my own again
You put me high upon a pedestal
So high that I could almost see eternity
You needed me, you needed me
You needed me, you needed me

When you have been a mum for so long and you bring up other peoples kids as well, you were needed, they needed someone to love them, feed them, cloth them, get them to school.

They grow up, leave home and now there is you…. no one needs you anymore.

Feeling quite lonely, sad, depressed.  To feel self worth for me, is for someone to need me.

Will I ever have someone to need me again?
